news [1 and 2]

by kmcopeland
  1. The big news of the weekend is that we have (almost) officially purchased a flat! We are just waiting to get the signed papers back and then it will be 100% official. It doubles our current square footage and is in a great location, so we couldn’t be happier. Prepare yourself for lots and lots of idea posts.

  2. I am an ambassador for Jess LC for the month of April. Jess LC is owned by Jess Constable, a blogger and jewelry maker. Here are a few of my favorites from her shop, but she has other of cute stuff so go check it out!

Division Chevron Bangle, $48; Armitage Simple Link Earrings, $18; Diversey Paisley Necklace, $73

feeling [lucky]

by kmcopeland

I’m feeling lucky. Predictable, I know, but I have good reason to be this cliché. You might recall that last week I was in need of happy thoughts because of our living situation. Well, the Swede and I found a flat last week that we love, and we decided to bid on it today!!  Here in Sweden, all interested parties are allowed to put a bid on a property so it essentially operates like an auction. Eeeee! Every appendage is crossed, but here’s hoping luck is on our side!

Clockwise from top left: Antoinette Fainting Sofa, $580 [Urban Outfitters]; Picture via Design Love Fest; Chevron Frame, $28 [Furbish Studio]; Wildflower wallpaper, €67 [ferm Living]; Diana’s Droplets Earrings, $28 [Anthropologie]; Twist screenprinted fabric, $8.50 [summersville]

Inspired By…

by kmcopeland

I’ve got jet-setting on my mind. Maybe it’s because our trip to Egypt got cancelled, maybe it’s because I seem to live in the only place in the Northern hemisphere where it’s actually getting colder, but I can’t stop thinking about hopping on a plane and heading south – somewhere warm, exotic and green. While the Swede and I aren’t of jet-setting status (yet!), my mom always told me to dream big. And I could seriously get down with a life of leisurely traveling the globe from one posh spot to another. That’s why this month’s inspiration is all about exotic pieces in bold & gold! My favorites are the gold leafed beer bottles…I see a DIY project in my future.
