friday’s fancy [easy breezy]

by kmcopeland

Wishing life was as effortless as it seems in these pictures, but willing to settle for a weekend’s worth of easy breeziness.  Who’s in?

Happy Friday!

friday’s fancy [monki]

by kmcopeland

These funky, Alice In Wonderland-ish images from the Monki lookbook are perfect for Easter!  It is actually warm here today, so I’m heading to the park to lounge in the sun and read a book. I think I’ll swing by the Monki store on my way back home…

This month, I’m all about floral patterns in electric hues.  And matching those floral patterns to your furniture as much as possible. Honestly, I had way too much fun with this post. I literally couldn’t stop finding clothing/decor matches! I wanted to find more, but Henrik made me stop. At first he was interested and (almost as) excited (as me), but I think he was over it the third I hit his arm loudly exclaimed  “Look! I found another match!”  I guess some people just don’t understand that sort of excitement. Hmph.

I Spy

by kmcopeland

My excessive internetting/ability to read/ability to take a hint leads me to believe that colorblocking is in, like, big time (reference here, here, here and here). My general thoughts on the matter are 1) I should try it because it makes me happy looking at it and if it makes me happy looking at it, it will probably make me happy wearing it, and; 2) go big or go home – there is no half-assing it with this trend. So go forth and block ye colors.

On Target

by kmcopeland

Big news – Target is celebrating its 5 year anniversary of its designer collaborations with a special Go International collection that drops March 13. The collection features pieces from 17 of the designers that Target has previously collaborated with, and FabSugar offered a sneak peak last week. Best of all? Every item is under $50.

I hesitate to write this because maybe I’m just in a mood and will love them tomorrow, but I’m a little disappointed with the collection. They are all re-releases-nothing that you haven’t seen before. And overall the selection left me with a feeling of…meh. You should definitely go here and check them out for yourselves, but the only ones I am mildly excited about are:

On a more positive note, Target has some really cute stuff in home goods that make me really, really miss my Sunday afternoon shopping sessions. I see this being a monthly feature on this here blog. What do you think?

To all my baby-making friends: I hope you like hippos because Auntie Katie is going to be the official hippo lady.
