wishful wednesday (on a thursday)

by kmcopeland

I discovered the work of stylist Susanna Vetro via Trendenser, a lovely Swedish blog. Girl’s got skills, yo.

I’m especially loving the stark contrast of the above pictures, but there’s plenty of eye candy on her website if you’re more of a color kind of girl (or guy). Definitely worth a gander!

real life inspiration

by kmcopeland

Have you seen the IKEA Family LIVE website? I just discovered it and it’s a collection of all the homes that have been featured in the IKEA LIVE magazine. It’s all about real homes done by real people, so I think it’s a great source for practical and attainable ideas. Here are a few of my favorite pics from the site.

deja vu

by kmcopeland

I am currently pinning and bookmarking tons of art – I need to finish my art wall in the living room as well as find art for the kitchen and bedroom. In said art-hunting frenzy, I realized it’s been ridiculously long since I did a deja vu series. So today, for your viewing pleasure, I bring you another edition. As much as I love doing them, I don’t know why I haven’t done this more often.  Above, The Plunge by Lisa Golightly and dining room via Rue magazine.

commitment issues

by kmcopeland

After a lot of back-and-forthing in my head, this is what I’m thinking for the colors in my living room. You’ve seen the chair I recovered, and I plan on making my own navy blue tufted velvet ottoman – a smaller version of this guy. I’m thinking pillows in coral ikat, navy zig zag and a minty green, all tied together with this kilim pillow. Now I’m interested in your thoughts/feedback (as long as you agree with me and confirm my decision to commit to this color scheme).

puppy love

by kmcopeland

This weekend, we welcomed a new member to our family – a pug puppy named Lou. We might be biased, but we think she could very well be the cutest puppy in the whole wide world.
